We are all enjoying the final summer term together. The sunshine always means lots of fun playing outside in the garden. Thank you for helping us to keep everyone safe outdoors, wearing appropriate clothing, hats and using sun cream.
Transition to School
All children leaving the school this year to start their Reception Year in September will be involved in the transition to school focus this term. Teachers from the receiving schools have been visiting their new children and visits to new schools have been planned.
It is a busy time and we know that lots of information is often overwhelming – children and families can feel a mix of excitement and uncertainty.
The staff team are here to help and answer any questions or worries you may have about your child starting school. Please come and talk to us.

Goodbyes
We will be saying goodbye to many children at the end of term and we all wish them good luck in their new schools and settings.
We are also saying goodbyes and thank yous to some of the staff team at the end of term.
After a teaching career of over 30 years, Helen is taking a well-earned retirement from her teaching role at the school. Helen has been influential in leading the teaching and learning across the school for several years. We are lucky as she will remain a smaller part of the Knowle West team through her Lead Teacher role offering in-reach support from September.

Nancy currently shares the teaching role in Fox Room with Helen and has brought experience, energy and enthusiasm to the team over the past two years. She is exploring other education career options from September.

Two of our cleaners, Sue and Mary will be retiring at the end of the academic year. They have been a valuable part of our wonderful cleaning team for many years and we cannot thank them enough for all their work in making our school environment so loved and cared for.

Our Chair of Governors, Lesley, and Vice Chair of Governors, Kylie, will also be retiring from the school’s Governing Body at the end of the academic year. They have both given so much support to the school and the staff team for many years, which has been hugely appreciated.

Car Park
Thank you for being patient and considerate when using the car park, and thinking of everyone’s safety.
We have an extended drop off in the morning 8:45am – 9:15am. If you avoid the busiest time (8:45am – 8:55am) it is less congested and less stressful.
