We’re thrilled to unveil the stunning new logo for Knowle West Nursery School, created in partnership with our design team at Chaos Created, who developed our new website last year.
A Symbol of Our Values
Our new logo perfectly captures what makes our nursery school special. At its heart are two hands coming together in a gesture of care and connection, beautifully embodying our core mantra: “We all Matter – We all Belong.” This powerful image represents the nurturing environment we create for every child and family in our community.
Thoughtful Design
Chaos Created worked closely with our team to develop this meaningful symbol. The logo features carefully chosen colours designed to evoke a sense of calmness and inclusivity – values that are central to everything we do at Knowle West Nursery School.
The design maintains our familiar yellow and blue colour scheme while incorporating the refreshed palette that Chaos Created developed during our website launch last year. This creates a cohesive visual identity that families will recognise across all our communications, in digital and print.
The circular design represents our inclusive community, while the gentle hands at the centre remind us of the care, support and belonging that every child experiences here. It’s more than just a logo – it’s a visual representation of our commitment to nurturing every child’s development in an environment where they truly matter and belong.
Signage
You’ll see the logo on our new signage, which has been installed this week by the fantastic team at Signs Now. We have long felt that our beautiful nursery school is somewhat hidden away. It’s easy to drive past us and miss our incredible setting and spacious outdoor learning areas. Our new signage raises awareness of our setting and what makes our nursery school and our community so special. You’ll now see our new signage and banners, and we hope you love them as much as we do.
Trauma Informed Practice Hub
We’re also thrilled to introduce our complementary logo marking Knowle West Nursery School’s recognition as a Trauma Informed Practice Hub. This special version of our logo features a calming teal border that reflects growth, healing, and the nurturing environment we create for children who may have experienced trauma. The teal not only symbolises renewal and safety, core elements of trauma-informed practice, but also provides visual consistency with Trauma Informed Schools UK (TISUK)’s primary logo colours, honouring our partnership with this vital organisation. While maintaining the same caring hands imagery and blue central circle from our primary logo, this color choice reinforces our commitment to being a place where children can heal, grow, and thrive through our trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and relationship-led approach, building on our achievement of the Trauma and Mental Health Informed School Award from TISUK in March 2024.
We hope you love our new logo as much as we do. You’ll be seeing it across our materials as we continue to build on the welcoming, inclusive community that makes Knowle West Nursery School so special. The new logo is appearing first on our new signs, and will be rolling out to our website and to our Facebook page in the coming days.
