Exploring, Imagining, and Creating in the Ladybird Room
The children in the Ladybird Room have been busy exploring their creativity and problem-solving skills through a variety of engaging activities. A simple cardboard box became the centre of imaginative play as the children worked together to manoeuvre it down the slide, transforming it into a bus through their storytelling and role play. This kind of open-ended play supports communication and language development, as well as physical coordination and teamwork.

Building dens has sparked collaboration and spatial awareness, while potion-making experiments using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda introduced the children to early science concepts. Watching the fizzy reactions brought excitement and curiosity, encouraging them to ask questions and make predictions.

With the sunshine making a welcome appearance, the children have also been enjoying time outdoors in the river and beach area. These outdoor experiences provide rich opportunities for physical development, exploration, and connection with nature.
