In Hedgehogs Room, we’ve been exploring our new outside environment with trails, hunts, and autumn activities, helping children become familiar with the outdoor spaces available to them. Playing “Where’s Bear?” has been our favourite activity, and we’ve been excited to see where Bear is whilst learning the different areas of our garden, including the bandstand, hills, boat, and meadow. This playful exploration helps children develop spatial awareness and confidence in navigating their outdoor environment.
Inside, we have been getting to know our classroom bases and one another, building friendships and settling into our new routines. These early weeks are all about creating a sense of belonging and helping every child feel comfortable and happy in their new room.
