Exploring, Creating and Connecting in Squirrel Room
This week in Squirrel Room, the children have been busy building relationships through shared play and collaborative activities. These interactions are a vital part of their personal, social and emotional development, helping them learn how to communicate, cooperate and form friendships.
The children have also been enjoying large sensory play experiences, which support their physical development and stimulate their curiosity. These activities encourage exploration and help children make sense of the world around them through touch, movement and experimentation.
Outdoors, the garden has been a source of adventure and discovery. As the children explore natural materials and observe seasonal changes, they are developing their understanding of the world and building confidence in their physical abilities.
Indoors, a variety of building resources have inspired creativity and problem-solving. Whether stacking blocks or constructing imaginative structures, the children are engaging in expressive arts and design while also developing mathematical thinking and fine motor skills.
