March 2026 Newsletter (Term 4)

by | Mar 24, 2026 | News, Newsletters

In our latest newsletter from Knowle West Nursery School, you can read about the many exciting things happening across our community this term. Inside, you’ll find highlights from World Book Day, updates on school admissions, and upcoming activities from our Friends Group. We also share important diary dates for the term ahead, including end‑of‑term closures and special events.

This edition also includes reflections on the Spring season, with messages for families celebrating Eid and Easter, as well as information about our Spring Raffle and how the funds will support resources across the nursery. You’ll also find reminders to help prepare your child for the warmer weather as we continue to enjoy plenty of outdoor learning and play.

As the days grow longer and signs of Spring begin to appear, we are looking forward to sharing a wonderful Spring term with our whole school community.

This is a special time of year for many of our families, and we would like to take a moment to warmly acknowledge and celebrate Eid with all of the families in our community who observe it. Eid is a time of reflection, gratitude and togetherness, and we wish you and your loved ones peace, happiness and joyful celebrations.

Many of our Christian families are celebrating Easter, a season that similarly involves fasting, reflection and spending time with loved ones. Like Ramadan, it is rooted in community, shared rituals and celebration. Happy Easter to you all.

It is wonderful to recognise how much these traditions have in common, and how they remind us that, whatever our background, so many of us share the same values of family, kindness and togetherness. At Knowle West Nursery School, we are proud to celebrate the diversity of our families and work hard to create an inclusive environment where every one of our families feels seen, valued and respected.

School Admissions

Offers of school places for on-time applications will be sent on 16th April 2026. If you applied online, this will be emailed directly to the registered email address on your application.

After the Easter break, Leigh will be available to help anyone with accepting or appealing their school place. There will be a drop‑in session on Wednesday 22nd April at the Friends Group for anyone who would like to talk through the process.

Once all applications have been accepted, we will begin making plans to contact the schools and arrange visits and the transfer of information to ensure a smooth transition to your new school in September 2026.

Weather Change

As the weather warms, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the season, remembering to label their clothing to avoid any loss.

We spend lots of time in the garden, so it is important that children are well covered and that they have spare clothes, especially as we do lots of water play.
